How Make Your Customer Feel Good About You If you didn't already know, your customers are the life blood of your business. If you want to stay in business for a long, long time, you will want to market to these people over and over again so that you can earn additional profits in your business right away. In fact, if you're not marketing to your existing customers in general, you're doing your customers (and your business) a disservice.
Instead, you should strive to make your customers feel special, and one of the beginning ways to do this is by keeping in contact with your customers on a monthly basis. You can do all kinds of things to make them feel special. And while we're talking about it, let's take a look at some of the things that you can do to increase customer retention, and keep them in your marketing loop.
1) Give them "member only" discounts
A member only discount is a great way to make your customers feel like they belong to a special club, or "inner circle". This can make your customers feel like their under a special membership. It's similar to how Wal-mart addresses their employees. Wal-mart doesn't call their employees "employees". Instead, they address them as associates.
This is something that you will want to keep in mind if you want to have a thriving business. 80% of your sales will come from sales on the backend - or selling to your existing customers. So if you're ignoring them, you're missing out on a ton of new sales that you could be making for free. Let's take a look at another way to make your customers feel special.
2) Contact them on their birthdays
This will come as a HUGE surprise by your customers. You could send them a simple Hallmark birthday card, and also include an offer for one of your products only. Make sure your product has some relevance towards their birthday also. I can remember receiving a "happy birthday kit" from this electronic razor company.
The package said "Happy 18th Birthday", but I'm older than 18. I accepted the gift and the electronic razor, and just said "thanks" to myself.
Both of these techniques for making your customers feel special are things that can still work today. It will take some work, but if you want your business to thrive and want to keep your customers happy with you, these are the things that you need to do. Remember, this is where 80% of your sales are coming from, so if you're not utilizing your list, you're not earning your full potential.
Hopefully you will take action on the tips that I have given in this article. I can assure you that most of your competitors aren't doing these kinds of things with their list, so you will stand out from the pack with your gracious approach.
Use these 2 tips to build solid customer relationships, and to inspire more sales and orders. Once you get started with these techniques, there's no turning back.
